This ride offers challenging hills yet plenty of flats and of course down hill time too. The open Texas landscape was breathtaking as well the day to enjoy it.  Having ridden for about a year, I am still exploring all the rides and weighing the pros and cons. I have found that each ride has both, the only drawback on this ride for me, was the crossing of cattle-guards which at first was a bit scary, but after the first few I was fine.

The support on the ride was also most excellent, always checking on the riders. Reststops were stocked with plenty of refreshing foods, water and Gatorade. One other thing that also impressed me, was the signing out and back in on the ride, to ensure that no rider was left on the course. I also dragged along a friend who had never done a ride.  We both did the 24 mile and have agreed that it was a Memorable experience. She is hooked and now actively looking for her own bike. I have told many others about this ride and we are sure to be back next year.
