About the Race:

The toughest race in south Texas

It is time for the Eleventh annual Coldspring race, this time sponsored by Medical Colleagues of Texas.

This race features a 16 mile loop which riders get to do multiple times during the race. As you can see from the race profile three or so miles of the loop is quite hilly and will help to separate the fields into those ready for the hills and those who need more training. the finish line is at the top of a hill and favors the climbers rather than sprinters.

Route: 112 mile (long) and 66 mile (short)

Massacre Long Route

Massacre Short Route

About the Race: The Texas Chainring Massacre ride/race will be a unique combination of dirt roads and desolate country roads that promises to be both scenic and challenging. Top finishers in each category will be rewarded with a winner take all purse guaranteed to grow as the entry field grows. Other riders will be able to enjoy a fantastic route that starts and ends in the “civilized” part of the D/FW Metroplex near Texas Motor Speedway while meandering through some scenic rural areas including the LBJ/Caddo National Grasslands.

Beneficiary: Proceeds will be going to help Kaiden Brennfoerder’s fight with cancer

Website: http://www.spinistry.com/category/texaschainringmassacre/

Registration: Online registration via BikeReg.com

Additional Info:

The route can be run on a road bike (with fat rubber), or a mountain bike but riders shooting for the “win” will most likely utilize CX bikes. If you choose to take a road bike on the course please bring extra tubes because there are potholes and some rough sections of dirt road. We will offer a 112 mile route as well as a 66 mile route. Most of the 66 mile route will be made up of sections of the full 112 mile route.
This marked course ride will not provide aid/support stations but it will run near towns/convenience stores about every 20 miles. Checkpoints will be incorporated and sweep vehicles will be circulating on the route throughout the day. Plan to bring enough food and supplies to be self supported in case of break down since it might take several hours for a sweep vehicle to reach stranded riders.
Additional details including maps/cue sheets will be available on www.Spinistry.com
