About the Ride: The Springtown Spin is an annual fundraiser in the form of a bike rally and fun ride benefiting Tarrant County Youth Collaboration, a North Texas nonprofit organization devoted to fighting child abuse and neglect. The rally is only in its fourth year, but has already been established as a must-ride event for hundreds of North Texas cyclists. Come join us for the 2011 event and help us do our part to end child abuse and neglect in North Texas.

About the Ride: The Sweatin’ Burnt Orange Bike Tour, now in its seventh year, is the primary fundraising event for The University of Texas Cycling Club. From the family friendly 10 miler to the challenging 80 mile loop, all routes offer a unique ride through the heart of the beautiful Texas Hill Country.

The Sweatin’ Burnt Orange Bike Tour will again include routes from 10 to 80 miles weaving through the Texas Hill Country. The 80 mile route includes a stop in the famous Luckenbach Texas and all routes feature challenging hills and beautiful vistas. It’s an incredible Texas riding experience that’ll leave you Sweatin’ Burnt Orange!

Tour participants receive:

  • Event T-shirt (pre-registrants only)
  • Post ride party with music, all-you-can-eat catered bbq and refreshments
  • Full course support with rest stops every 10-15 miles

About the Ride: Hundreds of men and women will come together on October 22, 2011 to get their wheels in motion to cure Cystic Fibrosis. The bike tour is a fully supported journey with stocked rest stops every 10-12 miles, support and gear (SAG) vehicles, on-site medical services, and much more. This unique event empowers participants to take action and demonstrate their fight in finding a cure in a tangible, emotional and powerful way. All riders will receive an Aptalis CF Cycle For Life® T-Shirt.

About the Ride: The Fredericksburg Fall Foliage Frolic is hosted by the Hill Country Bicycle Touring Club. There are rides varying in length and degree of  difficulty.

Fredericksburg was founded by German settlers in the 1850′s and is full of history.  Be sure to check out the Admiral Nimitz Museum in town or drive up Enchanted  rock and hike up the second largest rock in the United States.  Don’t forget to visit the many shops and try some of the great restaurants and bakeries in town.

Registration includes a ride souvenir.  Supported rides with maps, rest stops with snacks, drinks  and  port-o-potties.  Sag support. After the ride lunch.

Tour de Donut 2011

Route Distances: 28-mile doughnut-eating race and the 55-mile BP MS 150 Recommended Training Ride

About the Ride: The Tour de Donut is a fully supported BP MS 150 recommended ride that challenges riders to a doughnut eating contest.  This unique bicycle race takes riders on an appetizing 28-mile journey with rest stops along the way serving as many delectable doughnuts as you can eat.  For EACH tasty doughnut that a rider consumes, the rider is awarded a tempting 5-minute time credit.  Eat enough delicious doughnuts, and you can finish the race before you even started!  In addition to this mouth-watering challenge, riders can also ride the 55-mile course to get in shape for the BP MS 150.  All riders will receive a rider number, official T-shirt and plenty of food and drink at the rest stops.
