Event: Ride For Recovery
Route Distance: 12, 30, and 50 miles
About the Ride:
The mission of “Ride for Recovery” is To assimilate and educate the recovery community around the need for adding exercise to recovery. When an addict commits to a recovery plan, the body becomes chemically unbalanced in its levels of endorphins, serotonin, and dopamine. This can cause severe depression and other major side effects if left unchecked. This is why exercise is so vital. By adding an exercise program to your plan for recovery, your body produces those same chemicals; keeping you healthy physically, emotionally and mentally; most importantly, keeping you strong in your sobriety. So if you are in recovery, helping someone in recovery or even know of someone in recovery, join our cause to “Ride for Recovery”
