Camping at the event is not only permitted, but encouraged. If you are interested in camping, we ask that you please give notice in the registration.  Parking areas at no charge are also available.

The CF Cycle for Life event features well-stocked rest stops every 10–12 miles, bike mechanics along the route, support vehicles, ride marshals, meals and much more. Choose from three routes: a 10 mile course perfect for any skill level, a 43 mile route, or the 63-mile route for more of a challenge. Whatever route you choose, cycle at your own pace. This is not a race, so enjoy the ride.

Byers Bike Bash

About the Ride: Byers Bike Bash is a recreational ride through the rolling hills of Northern Clay County that includes three different routes. All routes have rest stops every 10 miles fully stocked with fruit, cookies, water, and sports drinks. Medical tents will be available at two stops, but nurses will be at all stops. SAG services and some mechanical support will be provided. All routes will be on extremely low traffic, scenic roads that pass through Byers, Petrolia, Dean, and Charlie. The 100KM route overlaps the Hotter’N Hell 100 route. The first 400 riders are guaranteed a free t-shirt and hamburger meal!

Bike the Bricks III

About the Ride: The City of McKinney, Texas in partnership with McKinney Velo Velo invites you to the fourth annual Bike the Bricks Criterium… in Historic Downtown McKinney on Friday evening, May 24, 2013. Spectators will be inches from the action as bike racers rocket through the downtown McKinney square at speeds in excess of 40 MPH, powered only by their legs, and protected from the pavement only by their skill.

Some will be trying to grab a share of the $20,000 plus prize money, for others it’s a test of survival.

Event spectators of all ages are invited to this year’s Friday night free event in Downtown McKinney to enjoy cycling, friendly camaraderie and an opportunity to purchase food and drink This year we are estimating 500 cyclists will participate in the event, and thousands of spectators will enjoy event amenities.
Warm up begins at 4:00 p.m., racing kicks off at 4:30p.m.

A portion of the proceeds raised from Bike the Bricks will be donated to McKinney Education Foundation. McKinney Main Street is a 501 (c) nonprofit organization with a mission to ensure that downtown McKinney continues to be the vibrant, inviting, safe and growing area it is known for today. Bike the Bricks in Downtown McKinney on May 25 is an opportunity for racers and fans to make memories while helping McKinney Main Street andMcKinney Velo support a worthy cause in our community. All mileage is approximate and subject to change
Start Times: Staggered start with the first wave (100K riders) going out 8:00 AM, followed by the 46 mile riders at 8:15 AM, and the 28 and 7 mile riders leaving at 8:30 AM.

Rest Stops
Rest stops are located approximately 10 miles apart.  There you will find cold water, fresh fruit, and lots of encouragement.

Prizes
Early registrations drawing for a $700 Diamond pendant created and donated by Woolard’s Jewelry.

Food
Free food and refreshments will be provided to all riders at each rest stop and at the end of the ride in the finish line activity area. Vendors will also be at the end of the ride so riders can look around and shop local!

Showers
Yes, we will have showers available.

Medical Assistance
Medical assistance will be provided by Texas Health Resources.  The THR medical bus will be on-site. We will also have a medical professional at rest stops.

Road Assistance
Road assistance will be provided by clearly-marked vehicles on all sections of the route.  We also have three bike shop vans to help with mechanical troubles and return riders to Centennial High School

Fiesta Wildflower Ride

About the Ride: The Fiesta Wildflower Rides will take place on April 28th – 2013. The 2013 start location is Morgans Wonderland in San Antonio, TX .

The Hill Country Sports Association is proud to present the 2013 Fiesta Wildflower Ride. The cycling community along with San Antonio and its many visitors will have a fun family event for 2013. Participants and spectators alike anticipate a memorable experience to wrap up Fiesta activities.

In 2012 approximately 1400 athletes participated from Texas and beyond. Both young and the young at heart joined in this fitness experience as they cycled through our scenic hill country.

For 2013 route distances will range from 15 mi – 100 mi. Rest stops will be staged approximately every 10 miles and are fully supported by volunteers. Roving SAG vehicles will be available on all courses to assist riders between aid stations when necessary. The Fiesta Wildflower Ride brings families together during this challenging and inspiring event. There will be a staggered start with the 100 milers departing first with shorter distances to follow at 5 minute increments.

Post Ride; We will have a designated recovery zone for athletes completing the ride. Light refreshments will be provided in this area. Upon exiting the recovery zone you will find a variety of food trucks, as well as massage therapists. Please plan to support these vendors and cheer on your fellow riders as they complete their journey.
