About the Ride: The Family Crisis Center invites you to our 11th Annual Pedal Thru The Pines! Cyclists will enjoy riding through the beautiful Loblolly Pines in Bastrop and Buescher State Parks and traversing the surrounding country roads of Bastrop, Fayette and Lee Counties. The routes provide a unique experience for cyclists of every level. Well stocked rest stops, friendly volunteers and a top notch veteran SAG Team add to the success of this event.

The Raven’s Revenge

  • 33 Miles — Come and Get It!
  • 51 Miles — The Ride for San Jacinto
  • 61 Miles — The Ravens Revenge

About the Ride: Your ride options include a short 20 mile round trip ride to Huntsville Visitors Center and the Sam Houston Statue (shuttle provided back to start/finish for those that desire a shorter 10 mile ride). Riders may also elect to ride the 33 mile Possum Walk Loop through the rolling wooded hills if up for more of a challenge.

Riders that desire a longer ride can delve deeper into the Sam Houston National Forest past Lake Stubblefield on either the 51-mile San Jacinto River Bottom Trail or the 61-mile Koon Trail route. (This is a road ride; all routes are on paved FM roads or State Highways.)

  • Ride starts at 8:00am with no riders leaving after 8:30am
  • Course closes at 2:30pm
  • Rest stops will be available throughout the ride
  • SAG vehicles will be patrolling the routes to help with medical troubles and to pick up riders with any problems (please be prepared to handle your own flats and minor problems)
  • We will be serving Brisket for lunch after the ride free to all riders

About the Ride: Hundreds of men and women will come together on Saturday, September 22, 2012 to get their wheels in motion to cure cystic fibrosis at the 2nd Annual CF Cycle For Life®. The bike tour is a fully supported 41 or 52 mile journey with stocked rest stops every 10-12 miles, support and gear (SAG) vehicles, on-site medical services and much more. This unique event empowers participants to take action and demonstrate their fight in finding a cure in a tangible, emotional and powerful way. Event check-in begins at 8:00am, rides begin at 9:00am followed by a post event celebration with food, awards and live entertainment. (Routes are subject to vary)

About the Ride: Now is the time to sign-up for the 9th Annual Conquer the Coast™ bike ride and experience one of the Best Coastal Trails in the United States as revealed by Coastal Living Magazine, June 2011.  Conquer the Coast™ has become the ride of choice for avid cyclists and novice riders.

Bikes, Bridges & Beaches provide the backdrop for an amazing ride with three levels being offered: a 10 mile cruise, a 25 mile ride, and the 65 miler. Cyclists can experience the beauty of the Coastal Bend and the thrill and adrenaline rush of conquering the coast beginning with the Harbor Bridge-138 feet high- overlooking the Port of Corpus Christi, to Portland, through Ingleside, Aransas Pass and on to Port Aransas, where riders may have a chance encounter with a dolphin or two on the Port Aransas Ferry. The ride continues through Upper Padre Island and then comes the breathtaking view of Ocean Drive and Corpus Christi Bay near the finish.

Best of all, it supports the Corpus Christi Chamber Foundation and it’s mission to continue to bring world-class events like Conquer the Coast to Corpus Christi. The ride provides police escort, ride marshals, corner marshals, and six rest stops with plenty of tasty snacks and refreshments.

About the Ride:  Race will start at 8:00 am on Sunday, March 17 in category blocks and will be scored separately at the finish. Helmets are required at all times when on the bike. A racing license is required; this is a USA Cycling event. We will race rain or shine; course may be revised if needed for muddy conditions. All fees are non-refundable. On-site registration will be accepted at the race location on Saturday from 1:00-5:00 pm and on Sunday from 6:30 am until 30 minutes before race start time. A mandatory pre-race meeting will be held on race day at the staging area 15 minutes prior to start time. Race categories and fees are listed on the following page. The expo area will be open for pre-riding on Saturday, March 16, from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Riverside Ride 2013

About the Ride: Please join us for the Fifth Annual Riverside Ride, presented by the Kiwanis Club of Victoria. This fully supported ride will consist of four routes, including a challenging 100k through the rolling hills of northwest Victoria County.

The ride starts in historic Downtown Victoria at One O’Connor Plaza across from Deleon Square at 100 W. Forrest. St. Victoria TX. Come early for a pancake breakfast and lunch after the ride free for each registered rider. Bring your family, too. After their breakfast, they can enjoy the square, the Texas Zoo in Riverside Park, and browsing area stores and antique shops. Golf is available in the park at the Riverside Golf Course, Victoria’s municipal course. Check the links at the right of this page for more area attractions.

About the Ride: The Friedreich’s Ataxia Research Alliance (FARA) is proud to partner with Outback Steakhouse for Ride Ataxia Dallas starting at University of North Texas Apogee Stadium in Denton, TX on March 23, 2013. Appealing to all levels of cycling abilities, Ride Ataxia Dallas participants will enjoy 6, 25, and 50 mile route options on rural North Texas roads with fully stocked rest stops, strong SAG support, and delicious food prepared by Outback Steakhouse after the ride. Founded by Kyle Bryant, a young man with Friedreich’s ataxia (FA), the Ride Ataxia program has raised invaluable awareness for FA and over $2 million for research. Ride Ataxia is a fundraising program of FARA with ride locations in Dallas, Northern California, Chicago, Portland, Philadelphia, and Orlando. FARA is a non-profit organization keenly focused on research leading to a cure for FA – a genetic, debilitating, life-shortening, neuromuscular disorder affecting children and adults.
