Peach Pedal Bike Ride

Date: Saturday – July 14, 2012

Event: Peach Pedal Bike Ride 2012

Route Distances: 100K39 miles26 miles and 9 miles

About the Ride: The ride benefits two great causes: scholarships and other assistance for students through the Weatherford College Foundation, and the promotion of our wonderful community through the Weatherford Chamber of Commerce.

Bring your camera–there are some beautiful views! We’re not going to lie to you–this course has some tough hills. But the hills are interspersed with flat stretches in beautiful western Parker County. Our 100K, 39-mile and 26-mile routes include periodic rest stops with drinks, snacks and rest rooms, as well as the fun folks of Parker County.

In 2008, we moved our start/finish and registration area to a new location–Weatherford High School on Interstate 20 and Bethel Road. The participants loved this new location, so we’ll be there again this year.

Registration will take place in “The Outback,” a separate building located to the east of the main building. The 100K starts at 7:30 a.m., the 39-mile starts at 7:45, and the 26-mile and 9-mile start together at 8:00.

7th Annual David Eikenburg Memorial Bike Ride

Date: Saturday July 14, 2012

Event: 7th Annual David Eikenburg Memorial Bike Ride 2012

Route Distances :

About the Ride: Consider making the trip to McQueeney, Texas in 2012 to honor our beloved pastor, father, husband and friend, David Eikenburg, who died tragically in a cycling accident on July 11, 2005. He died doing what he loved, but his first love and passion was to share the love of Jesus. Every year we honor him with this bike ride, remembering what he loved, and then to glorify God by continuing David’s legacy and passion for spreading the Good News to people everywhere. All proceeds go to Camp Agape, a Christian bereavement camp for children who have lost a loved one.

The date for our 7th annual ride will be held Saturday July 14, 2012. You can get involved even if you don’t cycle. We are always in need of donations and volunteers, so please let us know if you would be interested in serving God through this ministry.
