About the Ride: ROLLING HILLS CHALLENGE is a bike ride hosted by Columbus Lions Club the 2nd Saturday of May each year. This year the date is May 12, 2012. The event starts at Beason’s Park in Columbus, TX. Rolling Hills Challenge offers some of the most picturesque yet challenging bike routes in the gentle hills of South Central Texas. Routes available are 25,50,62 & 100 mils. Columbus is located at IH-10 and Hwy 71 between Houston and San Antonio just one hour south of Austin.

What many have claimed to be the best kept secret in Texas cycling, the Rolling Hills Challenge 2012 offers cyclists some of the most picturesque, yet challenging bike routes in South Central Texas.The gentle hills of Colorado and Fayette Counties offer cyclists a unique setting not found in bike rides around the Houston area. Cyclists will also discover very little vehicle traffic on the routes.
