If you are like us, you are REALLY excited about the HH100 coming up this month! If you want to support the cause even more, and ride with a great group, check out Team Faith Spokesmen! We had the chance to get a great interview about this awesome group! Check them out!
Why join your team? Join Team Faith Spokesmen to ride for a cause in the HH100 endurance ride to help raise funds to provide meals and shelter for the homeless at Wichita Falls Faith Mission and Faith Refuge.
How long has your team been around? Team Faith Spokesmen formed in 2012. This is the 33rd annual Hotter n Hell (HH100) ride.
What was the motivation behind starting the team and who benefits from it? Every $ raised by Team Faith Spokesmen helps serve the homeless and helps them become self-sufficient.
How have they been able to utilize funds in the past? Meals, shelter, education, and transportation to appointments.
What is the most rewarding experience of being a part of this team? The most rewarding experience for Team Faith Spokesmen is that we make a difference in the lives of children and adults who might be sleeping on the streets, in parks, under bridges, or in unhealthy living environments. The money we raise helps provide a clean bed and safe shelter to sleep in and enables services to help lead the homeless toward self-sufficiency. It is both humbling and rewarding to ride with Team Faith Spokesmen!
What is the average number of participants? Team Faith Spokesmen is open to the public. We had nine cyclists on our team in 2012 and 11 in 2013. There is room for you! The HH100 had 12,500 registered riders in 2013.
What can folks do to support you and your mission? Ride with Team Faith Spokesmen and raise funds for Wichita Falls Faith Mission and Faith Refuge, pray for the team, for the staff and volunteers at both shelters, and for the children and adults that we serve at both shelters. Invite your friends to join our team. Donate online at faithmissionwf.org. Donate canned vegetables, fruits, meats, and paper goods to both shelters. Wichita Falls Faith Mission is located at 1300 Travis St., Wichita Falls, TX. Faith Refuge for women and children is located at 710 E. Hatton Rd., Wichita Falls, TX.
Anything else you’d like to tell folks about this team? It is one of the most fun, highly organized and supported rides in the country! The endurance ride is for fun, not competition. Ride packets must be picked up by the close of the vendor hall on Friday night. Dress for the heat! Put two water bottle cages on your bike. It’s easy to join Team Faith Spokesmen.
